Valentine's Oreo Cookies with Raspberry Cream Cheese Frosting
I don’t know about you but my kids love spending time with me in the kitchen. They are always wanting to make new treats and learn how to bake something new. We have the perfect Valentine’s cookie recipe that your kiddos will be sure to love making with you.
Oreo Cookies with Raspberry Cream Cheese Frosting
1/3c Hersheys Special Dark unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2t bakeing soda
1 1/4c all-purpose flour
2/3c butter (softened)
2/3c brown sugar
1/4c granulated sugar
1 large egg
Preheat oven to 350. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats. Whisk together cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, and flour. Set aside. Meanwhile, cream butter and both sugars together with an electric mixer and paddle attachment. Mix in egg and vanilla until smooth. Add dry ingredients and mix until combined. Scoop balls of dough onto the cookie sheet and shape into a heart. Bake for 8-9 minutes. Let cool before filling with frosting.
Raspberry Cream Cheese Frosting
8 oz cream cheese (room temperature)
1/2c butter (softened)
2-3c powdered sugar
1 1/2ts raspberry extract
red food coloring
Cream together butter and cream cheese. Add powdered sugar, one cup at a time until desired consistency and taste. Mix in raspberry extract and a few drops of food coloring. Frost once cookie is cooled.
